Job Duties

The Service Technician is responsible for technical pest control services, customer relations, surveying customers for satisfaction, company vehicle upkeep, and making additional sales when possible. Ongoing training to remain proficient in these areas is a must. The Service Technician reports to the Service Manager.

This position requires driving a company owned vehicle and requires a clean driving record. We are a drug free workplace.

Education, Training, and Experience

The Service Technician must have extensive experience in pest control solutions, including an understanding of integrated pest management strategies, chemical applications and safety procedures, and pest identification and eradication techniques. Each Service Technician must complete minimum state mandated continuing education requirements annually and be proficient with mobile devices.

Working Conditions

• Work conditions vary based on service being conducted, with examples ranging from working in small attic spaces, to exterior applications on large residences or commercial buildings.
• Frequent travel and outside work is required.
• The ability to apply any and all treatments used by GNPS. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
• The ability to use equipment such as, ladders, flashlights, drills and PPE. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision.

Supervision Exercised:
The Service Technician has no direct supervisory duties but may on occasion provide mentoring or training to new technicians.
